if your going to put map info srceens on the dash ,why not make the screen oval ,like the ford badge,it would be more attractive,especilly if ,the face plate covering it was tapered attractively around it,then when the customer,opened the driver door a ford logo would fill the screen,upon stating the vehicle,thbe screen would say good, morning,afternoon or evening to greet the consumer,then upon touching the screen ,audio or a/c heater control panel would light up ………..after,so many seconds,the ford logo would light up and stay on..any time the consumer wants to use the screen,just tap the srceen to get promts,attractive and funtional.no go kick some …,ford can spook the consumeras wella sanyone, cheer up ,if ford goes under the U,S,A,’S ikn trouble as ford makes some of americas finest products.

these are so handsome,we live in a humble apartment complex,and have one of these in the parking lot,so modern and clean design,this and the new r/s focuses and convertibles should give ford some cash flow………

I just purchased a pre-owned 2007 Ford Edge and it is really nice. I was looking for a SUV that had a sophisticated look and feel and this edge is that vehicle. I agree that they should consider variations of the front grills on the Ford vehicles.

Have purchased several new Fords over the last few years. Have a new Sports Trac now. Looking at the edge. Looks good. Guess what? You forgot to put hangers for a clothes rack in the back cargo area. Can’t believe you did that. Come on Ford. The small things count.. Also would like to see you bring the Explorer America to the market. Give us American buyers something to show off..

I work for Ford so I only buy Fords. I bought an Edge a couple of months ago and I can not say enough good things about it. I absolutely love it and recommend it to everyone who asks me about it (and daily I am asked about it.) We have a winner with this one!

Since I work for Ford, I drive nothing else. The Edge and its counterpart are the best-looking I’ve seen come out of the design department in a very long time! Im only 4′11″ so I really have to shop arond to find cars that fit me…HINT!! HINT!! design department….There are a lot of us short people out here. You REALLY!! need to wake up and take us into consideration when you’re designing the seats. PLESE!! give us seats that fit!!

Ford should be commended for making vehicles with excellent visability, especially in a time when large c-pillars and crunched windows are popular. Vision in the Edge could be made even better however, by adopting Taurus/Taurus X style rear headrests.

 Hi, I was thinking of purchasing a new car, so I went to different companies, but as a matter of fact, as soon as I saw your Ford Edge, I was really astonished with its model. I liked it a lot and I thought it is a completely new range of cars. It has really a great design, a dynamic performance, a high standard of quality and an outstanding value.

For all the people, that are mad because they want an SUV that can haul dirt bikes, and things of that nature, your dumb. This is a stylish CUV that is used for transportation with good gas mileage. If you want to haul dirt bikes, or 4 wheelers, buy an F-150 or an expedition, thats what they are for, they are what are built ford tough, the edge and new crossover vehicles are built for the road ahead.

By the way, whenever you buy a new vehicle from Toyota, or Honda, you are just helping their economy and they are going to put America down the drain and have more power than us because all these people buying their cars, and making them rich, so you hurt USA when you buy japan cars. Besides ford and all American car companies have cars that get good gas mileage!!!

 What a great looking car! It’s a pity it is not imported in Europe, in Russia particularly… I think it would be succesfull in Russia - despite our european love for soft plastics interiour. The point is the car has great appealing design and a wery good size too - not too huge. Go sell it in Russia!

 People need to learn the facts before they speak the edge is not an SUV Dan it is a CUV which means it is a crossover! And the ford edge is one of the best models that ford has ever marketed. It is so sleek and stylish!

 The Edge is a wonderful vehicle to drive! I’ve hauled from trees to ladders in the back and the rear seats that lower with a button in the back are wonderful. The moonroof is really nice too, I like it that my passengers can see what is up there too with it being a double moonroof. In my opinon, it’s a good, good vehicle.

“Edge” Huh? Very cool, very trendy, and entirely too slick to be called an SUV. This is what happens when you let fashion designers redefine “sport” and “utility”. I want to haul dirt bikes, surfboards, camping gear, and ski boats, not grocery bags and soccer brats.

I’m waiting for a real small SUV. How about a Bronco III? Think halfway between a Jeep Wrangler an a Honda Element.

I’m looking for body on frame construction, 4WD with lockout hubs, real off road capability, a hose it out interior, and decent towing capacity. A diesel would be nice so you could afford to drive it. Removable doors and hardtop would be another nice touch.

Give me a vehicle I can take out into the middle of the woods, and get back in without ruining it. A significant portion of gen X, and gen Y are not pampered city kids. Where is the Ford for us?

You keep talking about “Built Ford Tough”, why not prove it and give us a sport utility with real utility.

I recently purchased a new ford edge and I love everything about it. The body style is sleek and it handles beautifully,I think the gas milage is good I would not trade it for anything on the market.

The edge looks so so. This is not a good thing as arguably the whole Ford US lineup is full of vehicles that are so-so with not one vehicle that really is attractive (Which really baffles me because you have good designers working for you). I know you guys try to copy Audi interior design but in your use of cheap materials and poor fit and finish it all ends up looking half-assed.

Maybe you should just bring the whole euro line-up here and sell them as mercury’s because anyone that appreciates a nice car would not go anywhere near one of your current US line-up products.

Obviously you are a foreign car buyer! Another person killing out economy…The Edge is not so so! Do you currently see tons of them out there? The answer would be YES! Ford must be doing something right.

its good for road

I own a 2003 pzev focus and an Escape hybrid-both are thoughtfully designed and I am a very satisfied customer. Why, if ford expects to become competitive again, haven’t you seen the handwriting on the wall and offered the Edge and its Mercury counterpart in hybrid versions? The styling is great, but start setting the trend, not following it.

And why is ford discontinuing the 5 door hatchback focus….my 2003 was consumer report’s best small car and most fun to drive…I whole-heartedly concur. I recently drove a Mini, thinking that ford has missed the boat again in offering a sporty, muscley hatchback-sedans are boring. The focus I own kicks ass on the Mini at half the price and would sell like hotcakes with a little more style…but don’t lose the hatchback!

Ford along with most of the other auto makers, has been for some years now been making cars that cannot be recognized as specific car or manufacturer’s product unless you can see the emblem. I and am sure that thousands of other car users feel the same way. We like to see a car that stands out as a distinct make and model on the street or highway as did the Lincoln in the 90’s, the 37 Lincoln Zepher and even the Edsels, early Mustangs, the Ford F series pickups and lets step back a few years, Model A. We are geting tired of look alikes. I have been a Ford user since I was 16 years old, starting with a used 1929 Model A. I at present am driving a 2001 F 150, 4 door, 4 wheel drive, 5.4 V8, XLT but I have owned about 27 Fords in between. I like Fords because of their dependability, low maintenance and their MPG. I would like to see more Fords tht you can recognize even before you can make out the EMBLEM, one that doesn’t change drastically every year. My wife is driving a Mazda 626 at present. John R. Reid

We have been looking forward to the Edge as a replacement for our 2002 Explorer! The package looks great. We are holding out to see if Ford can give us a hybrid version before we buy.

While the three bar style looks great on the Fusion and Edge, please do NOT make the front of every new Ford look the same. Having a nearly identical look on the Escape, Exporer and Expedition is a turn off and I would think it has scared some buyers to the competition simply for variety of style. We all love to see the Blue Oval Badge because it blends in well with a variety front end styles, so show it proudly as your common theme throughout the product line.

One word for the new EDGE-( OUTSTANDING ). The wife has had the car for 20 days now and she loves it. I have drove it more than her though.Power, nav,awd,the car handles great.A Great ride and the kids love the glass roof.I added dvd players in the headrest “real cool” the kids said. The nav and the sat radio are my favorite things along with the 265 horses. Power, smooth ride,comfort, lots of leg room ,ford has done a great job on this CUV. Oh yea I drive a 2005 excursion with the 6.0L diesel.

Ford MUST be able to have a crossover vehicle with better gas milage. I know Ford has the Technology to do this, Ford MUST do this on all of their vehicles, even their SUV’s., to be competetive, that is a must.

I want a real station wagon with usable space in the back. This Ford Edge is a waste of time for people like me. A 500-based real wagon with the 3.5 engine, a good transmission, and heavy-duty suspension: I’d buy it in a minute. The 500 body would look good as a wagon.

Also, I don’t want a truck. So forget about the Freestyle. I want a wagon that drives like a car.
