I currently drive a MKZ " Zephyr " named when I leased it. My cars before that were a TownCar, Sable, Marquis. I placed my order months before the car hit the showrooms after having read everything possible before signing the lease. I have one year left on the lease and it will be time to turn it in. It's been one one the nicest cars I've had. I find the current V-6 plenty fast with a lot of get up and go. I ordered all the little " extras " except the nav. map in the dashboard. I live in Florida where the current temp. is 95 and those AC cooled work great and the new THX sound is like have your living room surround sound system in your car. The MPG could be a little / lot better getting only 13 and was advertised as getting better. The interior has the retro Lincoln design from the 60's and I like the light wood accents. I had a 73 Mustang Grande which I purchased in Detroit and the "Zephyr " reminds a lot of that car probably due to it's size. In design I would have gone a little / lot more forward in it's design but it still carries the Lincoln signature grill. The only thing I would have designed differently would have been the tail lights. The current design are too big / wide for the back trunk area. The original " early " pictures were wrap around but thinner and looked as if they were neon or LCD and the trunk was more on an sloop. I was hoping that Lincoln would reintroduce the sequential turn signals from the 60's T-Birds. Zephyr / MKZ great car..

I really like the MKZ. I think the style is very tasteful inside and out. My only quibble is that nowadys everybody's offering the 'manumatic' modes on their vehicles. Even some b-class cars have them. I think that Lincoln really needs to add that element to this car. They're advertising the horsepower of the engine in a 'sporty' type of way to get the younger buyers in the showrooms but, are missing a big option by not having it in this car. Now personally, I don't know how often {if ever} I'd use it but, again it's a major factor in the industry today. Other than that and maybe that the rear end looked a lot better in the concept version, I still really like the car.

This automobile is built and designed very well. I rented this MKZ just a couple of weeks ago and I was pleased with the way it handled on the road in heavy and qucick traffic and also with how well it stopped! I also felt that the controls were in easy reach and the redundant controls on the steering wheel are an industry leading design!! And I'm very glad that Ford has placed in the "cool blue" colored lighting on all of the instruments!! The green is for the "Irish" in the Ford name, but green is too ugly for today's designs, so nice job on finally changing that, Ford Motor Company! The only thing that I feel needs improvement, is the turn around radius! My 2003 Ford Explorer can trun much sharper on u-turns, etc. and even in and out of parking stalls alot easier than this MKZ, believe it or not! Perhaps if Ford truned this MKZ into a REAR wheel drive automobile, then that would solve this problem. Otherwise.....nice job, Ford Motor Company!
