I have owned Ford products most of my life. They have served me well. At present I have a 1995 Lincoln That has over 210,000 miles and still going strong. Ford really fowled up when they changed the Lincoln in 2000. It was distinctive but ugly. Ford had a good thing going with the Tor.

I have just recieved my Hybrid. Regarding the engineering, let me say I am IMPRESSED!! In fact if the engineering was not there, I would not have purchased the Hybrid. I traded in my Explorer for the Hybrid and let me tell you I miss the luxury items I had with the Explorer. Something as simple as a place to put your sunglasses, a grip assist handle, less noise when traveling at highway speeds, softer seats and so on. While I may complain about the feel of the Hybrid, let me say I cannot yell loud enough about the engineering of this vehicle! To the nay sayers of the United States, please look at the Ford Escape Hybrid before you trash the United States Automotive Industry. This vehicle is as good or better then any import at any price.

Americans are talking a lot abt energy conservations, environmental pollution etc , but they are the ones who waste lot of fuel , and energy …are they getting it for free or what ?..by this time they should be lauching only hybrids, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles to show the world that they talk what they say

What happened to the Hydraulic Hybrid System that Ford worked on with the EPA, Eaton, and UPS??? I was hoping this would be an option on the 2009 F150. I own three fords including a 1969 mach 1 mustang. I was hoping to purchase a new F150 with hydraulic hybrid if the system becomes a reality. I think people are ready for industry changing technology that will help get us off the foriegn oil habit. I know I am.

I was also awaiting the release of this hydraulic hybrid. I love the idea and concept of a truck that can compete on the MPG market. The last real news about this system is in 2006. Does anyone know if Ford threw in the towel on this project?

Why don’t companies like FORD understand that this is what many of us want today. I am ready to go 100% electric. Sick of rising oil prices, Japanese dominated auto industry.. time for FORD to be #1 not just job 1.
