I think the Ford Interceptor concept is fantastic! I drive a 2005 Mustang GT and would love to be able to move up to this vehicle a few years down the road when I need a bigger car for the family, I will never want to give up that V-8 power and performance. I know there's a lot of talk about smaller engines and what not but I know that Ford can have their V-8's, I currently get 30MPG, according to the computer, with my V-8 Mustang so I know it can be done, I look forward to buying this car in the future

The Intecptor looks like a great combonation with the mustang and first class beauty, I think this will be a great investment in the ford company(and to get Mike Rowe another commercial)asides that the Inteceptor will probably get a 5 star crash test rating.
Rock on Ford. If you do produce the Interceptor you'll be bringing back the age of the powerful, big sedans (way to go with the E85 engines). This was something that Dodge and Chevy lacked when bringing back the Charger and updating the Impala. Oh, by the way a 4 door Charger? At least the guys at Ford remember the design history of their products. Oh and the Super Snake is awesome. Now if you could try to reinvent an accurate Torino or Cougar that would be a great addition to the Interceptor and Mustang retro design. Has anyone in Ford looked into possibly producing and selling crate muscle cars. You could have reproduction Torino, Mustang, Cougar, ect. bodies and incorporate the new fuel efficient tech into engines. They wouldn't be originals, but I guarantee there is a market out there for something like that.

I am 20 years old, I drive a 2006 Ford Fusion, this is my first new car. I had the choice out of whatever car I wanted and I wont lie if I had to choose power over looks it wouldn't have been the Ford Fusion at all. Yes, I do drive the 2.3 4 banger but honestly, the v6 really wasn't much better, so I figured go with has milage, which is really good considering its a Ford. Now my family has driven Fords for a long long time. Mom drives a 05 Ford Five Hundred, Dad drives a 2006 Ford F-350, and they bought my 16 year old brother a 2003 Ford Taurus, 3.0 Liter DOHC v6 (what happened to this motor). So I chose a car with looks, the Fusion has that for sure and a decent sound system for 22,000.00 dollars. But as a 20 year old male, I want to race other cars off the line sometimes, and I'll tell you one thing, after owning this car for a month and getting beat by cars smaller, same size that are 20 years old, I will never race my car again...its honeslty embarrasing to be a man who has a slow new car. The new 3.5 DOHC v6 Ford is putting in the Licoln MKZ needs to be put in the Fusion, they are built on the same fram and everything for God sake. Ford, if you start thinking power like everyone else, you just may make it. And put more off the line power in everything you make, expecially the ever so slow F-150. Now I am not just a young person with a big opinion, I am very involved with car racing here in Utah, and I'll say one thing, the only thing now that people have that they race is the New Super Duty Diesel (2008, and I was shocked). Keep adding nicer standard things, and MORE POWER, THAT IS WHAT FORD IS MISSING IN ALL VEHICALS, EXCEPT NEW SUPER DUTY. Ford has a huge concern with prices will go up...SO!!! You can't get a Honda or Toyota with the options my Fusion has for under 26,000.00, and I have the SE!!!! So Ford, meet the compition, or soon be just the company that started it all and failed the fastest...Chris

I like the design of the concept Ford Interceptor. So put it on the market! I really like the HP rating (400), but I am no longer a gear slammer. How about an automatic transmission version for us older guyes, who want the power but not have to slam gears. For me even a rear bench seat would be cool. I also like the design of the 2008 Tarsus, looks good and rides good. How about a V-8 in a Taurus? I love V-8s, V-6s just do not have the punch when you need it or want it.

I went from the taurus to the explorer and also have a F-150. I don't want to get another car, I like riding high in the SUV, but IF you bring the Interceptor, I'm in it. no doubt! I don't look for the new cars or any of that stuff i could really care less, but when I saw the possibility of the interceptor "I wait with baited breath". BRING IT ON!
Ive loved Fords for as long as I can remember, in fact my favorite machbox car was a shiney red Ford Thunderbird when I was a tyke. I still have it. I always stand up for Ford in car conversations, but I'll still admit when I think a Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen, or Honda has done a better job at something. I still root for Ford, even as the underdog because I'm hopeful. I've been a car guy all 24 years of my life. I'm currently a route driver and all I do all day is stare at cars in Seattle traffic. I plan my breaks around the closest Barns and Nobles or Borders and read or skim over every Car and Driver, Automobile, Road and Track, and Motortrend magazine from front to back. Even EVO and Car, which shows all the shiney metal that Europe and other countries get that we don't. I keep current on nearly every concept vehicle and have an American Car Library at home with my own drawings as bookmarks mostly in the Ford sections. My first car was a 1973 Ford Mustang, red with black stripes. I since then had a Thunderbird, 2 Tauruses and now a Mazda 6 (owned by Ford). There's nothing that Ford has that isn't offered elswhere. When Ford rolls out with a new product, it seems only competative with other struggling domestic brands. The Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas, Nissans, Volkswagens, and now even Kias and Hyundais all offer more for the same or in some cases even less. Has Ford, Chevy and Dodge become lower on the scale than Kias? This is very disturbing to me. I would give up everything, move to Detroit and take a pay cut if it meant that I could make a difference. Things are slowly beginning to change. Still, too slow. Ford needs to aim further and higher. Way higher. I don't doubt that they're trying and I'm sure that there's a lot I don't know about all those Healthcare and Retirement costs. If I were retired from the Ford Motor Company, I'd care more about seeing the cars I worked so hard on succeed rather than hide in the shadows of so many other better cars. It would be a dream of mine to look back one day when I'm 80 and have a project of mine either still running or in some museum with copies of the headlines it made when it rolled off that assembly line. Those Ol'Timers clearly wern't car guys. I think it's all in the little details, small as they may seem. First, keep the Fusion, add some projector beam headlights and LED taillights just to keep up with the competition. Bring back those blue tinted mirrors from the 2nd generation Taurus, cool sport/lux look and helps road glare. Rid yourself of all the green guage cluster lighting and don't just switch to another color but be the only company to offer a choice across the entire lineup. Add some chrome all the way around the windows on the Fusion/Milan and F-150 and offer exclusive colors you can't get anywhere else. Sadly, I know a whole lot of people who just buy a car based on the color. Replace that ugly tan color with a dark metallic root-beer brown, and some more chameleon colors. Start up an entire aftermarket campaign for things such as graphics, body kits, two-tone paint jobs, HIDs, custom Taillights, and other exterior/interior mods. Bring back SVT/Lightning. Duh. Market the Fusion as an attainable, affordable car, and bring that damn sexy Mondeo over here asap and push it up-market as a sport sedan to rival the GLI/EVO/WRX/Mazdaspeed ect. Bring the Fiesta, Falcon, and the Galaxy/S-max over here as well, possibly some of these to help the Mercury Division. Speeking of Mercury.... WHERE THE HELL IS THE COUGAR!!! Bring that back using the Mustang Architecture with entirely different window shapes (no B pillars), sculpted lines, LED taillights, HIDs and chrome galore, and make it a retractable hardtop coupe to battle the Challenger, while at the same time steeling sales from the EOS, Volvo, Sebring, G-6, ect. The next Mustang should look like that Giugiaro concept in orange. Rename the Flex to Fairlane instead, and as an option continue that aluminum-look tailgate all the way around the darn thing sort of as a retro-but-better-futuristic interp. of the old fashioned wood paneling. Make a pickup version of the Flex that offers good gas mileage and still a decent towing capacity and call it Ranchero. Kill the Taurus-X. No more rebadged Fords as Lincolns, better off rebadging Volvos and Jaguars if anything with the MKR concept's styling. Build the Interceptor as the new Crown Vic/ Merc Grand Marquis/ Lincoln Towncar. Keep the names, keep the equity. Beat Chrysler to the punch and build a Four-door Convertible (Conntinental MKC?) for the next president to ride in during an election campaign parade. The Lincoln version of the Flex better not be in the least bit similar nor as square. Lincoln should recapture the glamorus and ritzy style it once had, it doesn't need a square stationwagon. Stop using that same cheap rectangle radio and chintzy climate controls with lame green lighting across the entire lineup. (Big deal, so you painted them silver for the Lincoln MKZ, you're not fooling anybody). Volkswagens are a helluva lot nicer inside than Lincolns are right now, it's embarassing. Kudos on the use of real wood but lets try harder. The MKX looks way too close to the Edge. The next models should look entirely different. Style the next MKX off the Volvo XC60 concept's architecture instead. It's ok for Ford and Merc to share platforms but still don't make it obvious. There's currently no point to the entire Mercury lineup. Market Mercurys as more American whereas Fords could be more global. And make Lincoln a True Cadillac/Lexus/BMW/Mercedes/Infinity fighter while keeping with American style. I'm holding on to my Mazda for a little longer, at least until that Mondeo comes to our shores, or you live up to those concepts you've been teasing us all with lately. I know you have what it takes to make Headlines again, you've been doing it in Europe. Let's see what you've got. Shake what your mother gave you. I speak for the entire echo-boom generation when I ask why the hell our parents, the baby boomers, got all the action and we dont. You've grown fat, frumpy, clumsy, grey and lazy. It's time for a little nip and tuck. There's so few of us in my generation that even know of your glorious past and fewer who even care like I do, you can't live off that anymore. The younger we get the more forgetfull you'll become if you don't act now.

To all the folks swooning over this car check out the Ford 427,it looks 100
times better than this thing and was the car that mopar copied, to create the
300! also please note the Lincoln Mark 9 and Ford 49 concept were the most
desirable and viable designs of any automaker in the last 30 years. I would
have been a proud owner of the awesome Mark 9. I drove Ford products exclusively from the age of 16 to 40 the last one was a Mark 8. remember how they allowed it to wither on the vine. Ford refused to increase the horsepower to compete with Cadillac, this would have required very little effort. This car had IRS RWD and its beauty was stunning . A simple retrofit to replace the defective air spring suspension would have spanked GM. Now Lincoln has become a gutter brand and deserves nothing but scorn and redicule.

I am done with Ford until they stop designing the most awesome cars to be never be produced! Now GM has learned what Ford used to understand in
the 80’s. HIGH END PREMIUM AUTOS DO NOT HAVE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE EVER !!!!!!!

Is this the replacement for the Ford Police Interceptor? Dodge came out with the Charger that is smaller from front to back but not in wheel base. The abliity to turn around quickly on a two lane road and go after a violator excites officers in the ability to do there job while on patrol. If this is the car, will it have a tighter turn radius to accomplish this task? It looks good and with Ford being the leader in the police car market, is the edge slipping away to the Dodge Charger? Come on Ford and create a car that the police market is looking for and keep you ahead in the game. Good Luck.

I think it's amazing that auto company's take 'original ideas' from each other... Look a 300... err... Ford Interceptor... The unfortunate part of a two sided coin, one design works everyone wants it. No wonder why the big three is getting destroyed by imports; they all build the same models.

And for the record I drive domestic, I just want some change.
