A few question

1. Why is it none of these fantastic looking cars ever make it to market we see them every year and yet all we get is boxy "looks like last years model" cars?
2. This is the year 2007 so when is the "futuristic look" ever going to be present day what exactly are all of you car manufacturers waiting on?
3. As quoted from the Hakaze page “This is the closest to a production vehicle that we have in the series,” Birtwhistle says. “Compact SUVs like this,” he says of the Hakaze, “might not be what Americans are thinking about right now, but they’d do well in Europe.”
how many "real American" people did you ask because I have asked everyone I know 'PS I live in cowboy country where every other vehicle is a rusted pickup truck' and not one person said no way I would ever buy something like that every last one of them just thought WOW thats cool wish they really made those and it was a truck lol.

Its just to bad you have all this tallent in the designs but the only way we get to see the real thing is in concept cause before it goes to production you gotta take the awsome Hakaze and turn it into the lame CX9 that looks like a slightly different 2006 CX7.

I've really enjoyed the last few rounds of Mazda concept cars, and I wanted to praise the designers for their vision and imagination. Starting with the Kabura, these latest concepts from Mazda have the personality and forward thinking that's so obviously lacking from most other manuracturers.

Just to be clear, I will happily drop my deposit off at the local dealership for the next affordable Mazda model that builds on the Kabura, the Nagare, or the Ryuga. And just as a tip, the average US income is still in the $30k - $40k range, while the average cost of a house is over $230k. As a result, the auto manufacturers who will succeed, are those that keep building affordable cars, as Mazda largely has.

Thanks for the two Mazdas in my garage. I look forward to replacing the 1992 I've had since new in a couple of years.

I've owned many Mazdas throughout my life. I have been impressed with some of Mazda's new models and concept cars recently. I like the Nagare, because the whole body flows, which is in fact what "nagare" means. I like the "swoopiness" of it and how it's shaped. It almost looks like some of Renault's new cars, which I like. But, although I do like this design, I think Mazda should build the Kabura first to compete with or replace the RX-8.
