Forty-five years and counting, and it’s still the coolest car on the road. This spring opens a new chapter in Ford Mustang history, when the 2010 incarnation hits dealerships. Ford Motor Company will unveil the new model at the LA Auto Show in November, but for those of us who just can’t wait until then, they’re revealing it — piece by piece — on the 2010 Mustang website.
Each week, Ford will preview different elements of the Mustang’s new design, starting with the nose and roaming back to the tail. End result: a tantalizing view of Ford’s reimagined icon. “The new Mustang will be a distinct presence on the road,” says its chief designer, Douglas Gaffka. “It’s more aggressive than before — it’s a modern interpretation of the strong Mustang lineage.”
