I saw the Verve concept last year and this year at the Dallas Auto Show - great looking! It was still a concept so there was no getting into it. I can’t wait to drive it. It looks to have the right combinatin of well designed sport and luxury that I have been looking for in a car but haven’t found in this price range. One thing - PLEASE DON’T CALL IT FIESTA!!! It’s about the worst name you could have for this new bright fururistic design. Why would you want to associate it with the cheap little unimaginative boxy car from the ‘80?!!!!!

The car you are talking about is the Fiesta. It has been proven and used in Europe for years. I can not wait for it to arrive in the USA as I will be buying one for sure. The Fiesta will pass almost every gas station until it needs to be filled. I just hope that it does not have to run on premium gas like the other small cars that have came from Europe such as the Mini and the Smart car. You Americans hold on to your hats as they also did a XR2 and XR2i version in Europe.

Why did you close the plants in the US and open this one in China. I would have bouight one had you built it in the US!

A friend of mine said he heard that Ford was going to re-introduce the Festiva, to be produced in Mexico. Is this true? Is Ford going to make a 50 mpg vehicle in the near future under any name?

please don’t call this new car a festiva. That a old worn out name ford needs to get some new names besides all these F and E names on our vehicles get with.

My husband has a 1978 Ford Fiesta which he drives to work and back. If the new ones last as long as this one they will be great. He has the orange color with orange inside.

I would like to buy one if these, or the Ka or any of the high mileage (overseas only models). I think alot of Americans would love to have one . When will they be available here.

I for one would stand in line for one of these or the KA or many of the (overseas only) fords. Why not put your lobbyists to work on this and release these cars to us market now not 2010 or 20, 30 or whenever you get around to it. This would be a big step in lowering this country’s oil dependence. Now I’m done on my soapbox will you please sell me one.

I must say the Fiesta looks quite agressive for a car like that. thats a good thing. But what about all the hard working american employees with families to support that could could be building this car in a good ol’ american plant in Detroit.

I love this car ford fiesta but,I would prefer to buy the mazda2 version. ;why ford loose this good opportunity to break record in sales we need a better fuel economy for the glove warming issues .Please let the mazda2 come to the usa in 2009 I’ll buy 3 of them please. ps.paying to much for fuel.refuse to drive anymore.

I am so sick of the ugly tall wagons everyone is making. If I can’t have my old Mazda 323 hatchback then I want this one in the three door.

The new Fiesta is a huge step forward for Ford. As attractive looking as it is, I would like it if Ford/Mazda would also look into releasing the Mazda2 in the US for those of us who prefer Asian styling over European.

I loooove American made cars, my first car was a Mustang GT. Why isn’t this an american made car? The only way I would drive one or recomend my freinds to drive one is if I got it free. I wouldn’t waste my hard earn dollars.

The Verve was exciting to look at, I wanted to get one, then the “comprimise” happened in design execution and the D-Pillar was mutalated. The design loses all of its purpose, and proportion in the Fiesta version. Please get the Verve styling back in the US version.
