The new four-seater Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet debuted at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show in March. The new model joins the three-door, four-door, five-door, wagon and ST models, and in 2009 it will be joined by the all-new Ford Focus RS high performance model. The newly designed Focus Coupé-Cabriolet is a true four-seater that combines a high emotional appeal with the means for everyday use: With the roof closed, new Focus Coupé-Cabriolet offers a best-in-class luggage capacity.

“As with the generic new Ford Focus, with the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet we also felt the importance of aligning this vehicle with our ‘kinetic design’ language as soon as possible,” said Stephen Odell, Vice President Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford of Europe.

The entire front end design of the new Ford Focus was fully adopted for the Coupé-Cabriolet: The new three-dimensional hood design flows into the dual-trapezoidal-grille design, with both the upper and lower grille being equipped with chrome surrounding. The front bumper, lights and front fender designs clearly reflect the latest Focus styling, but are also tailored to perfectly fit the side view of the Coupé-Cabriolet.

“The new Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet is a special blend: We felt that the new front end design will perfectly complement the profile and rear end design. The result is a mix of latest level Focus dynamics and the Coupé-Cabriolet design,” said Chris Bird, Design Director at Ford of Europe.

Dear Mr CEO of the Ford Company,

Please make this car available for purchase in the USA. I'll purchase it in a heartbeat if it is sold here in the US.
Dan says (August 17, 2008 at 7:59 am):
I hope this is part of the line-up coming to North America.
marc says (August 4, 2008 at 6:38 pm):
I love my Ford's. My last 8 cars have been Fords. I would love to see a convertible in the focus or fusion lines. I would definitely consider buying one.
Lori Ervin says (August 3, 2008 at 10:42 am):
This car will sell like crazy in the US to any age group. Perfect....please bring it on. Ford needs an affordable convertible. This car would definitely reach out to a particular market that Ford presently does not have. Think about it Ford; Toyota and Honda don’t have an affordable convertible like this. Be the first and stay competitive. NOW! Listen to your audience.

On a recent trip to Europe, I was looking at a Hotel magazine and came accross a really neat hard top convertible. it looked similar to the 300 series BMW from the side. This neat car turned out to be a Ford Focus hard top convertible. On my return from the states and pulling up a Ford web site, to my surprise, this car is not offered in the U S. How stupid can our american car manufacturers be?
N. J. says (July 28, 2008 at 1:37 pm):
Really nice looking car. Wonder when it's gonna be available, and what the pricing is going to be. I think I heard it has an optional diesel engine? That should get killer mileage!
B. CYRUS says (July 27, 2008 at 2:20 pm):
I love my FOCUS, there is no small car in comparison. And mine is only a 2003...lots of fun to drive and almost paid for! I love the new versions of FOCUS coming out...is very tempting to upgrade! wow
Morris says (July 20, 2008 at 8:54 pm):
This is a great car, and the chance for automakers to quickly step up to the plate. Americans need help with this gasoline crisis NOW!!! Ford can do it -- they can, they can, they can (ok Dorothy, now click your ruby slippers together three times and maybe someone in charge of Ford will listen to us.)
dernhbayer says (July 3, 2008 at 12:39 pm):
Well, Ford, your financial demise it's your own fault.
You brought the Focus to the US in 2000, with huge PR and advertising, 5 years in a row 1 of 10 best cars in US.
And what did Ford do? Rest on their laurels, discontinue advertising, DIDN'T bring over the new European updates, 3 or 4 versions, just build heaps of trucks and pickups (higher profit margin).
Of course your sales go down, so you did what? Discontinued the Focus Wagon (greatest car on market!), discontinued the zX3 and zX5 in 2007.
What's left? Focus 4 door sedan and a 2 door coupe? And these 2 cars are your entry model?
Is anybody wondering why the Asians are taking over the US market with their multitude of smaller/compact cars with great mpg?
Ford's only vehicle (excluding hybrids) getting OVER 30 mpg is the Focus!!!!!
Ford, where is the diesel engine?
You've dug your own grave.
kIRS lORENZO says (June 10, 2008 at 12:05 pm):
Ok, what the heck is wrong with Ford. For the love of everything holy, start bringing these models to the US. I am a sales manager at the number one Ford dealership in the North Eastern United States. If I had these on my lot, there is no question that Ford would be the number one selling brand in the US. Please someone up at Ford . . . . HELP!
jerry says (July 10, 2008 at 4:08 am):
Totally agree, I would buy one in two now if they were available in the us.
Dan says (June 6, 2008 at 2:21 pm):
I'll definitely consider buying it if it is available in the US.
Phoebe Dinsmsore says (May 22, 2008 at 3:09 pm):
The concept for the new Focus is beautiful, and if it's available for 2009 - I'll buy it! I like the red.
Doug says (May 19, 2008 at 2:40 am):
How about an SVT modle for those of us who don't want or can't afford a suckstang?
Steve Sims says (May 11, 2008 at 2:02 pm):
ready to buy
Just what I am looking for
Cindy says (May 9, 2008 at 9:40 am):
I LOVE this car...when can I get one? I am a LOYAL Ford buyer from my first 1986 Ford GT Mustang, then 1994 Ford Explorer, then my 2000 Ford Expedition and most recently because of horrible gas prices I now drive a 2007 Ford Focus...I've always wanted a Ford Mustang with a retractable hardtop convertible roof, but I'd settle for this Ford Focus convertible!! Please let me know when I can go order mine in my favorite shade of candy-apple red!!
Ron K. says (April 28, 2008 at 7:08 pm):
Looking at focus coupe--will wait till they are smart enough to bring the cabriolet over. This model could save JOBS!
chad C says (April 27, 2008 at 8:29 am):
I don't understand for the life of me why Ford can not see why they are not doing well in the US. Bring to the states what you have across the pond and it will be a run away hit in the US.!!!!!!! Ford has the chance to become a great car maker again by doing this! Stick with Pininfarina ideas Ford!
hayne says (April 25, 2008 at 12:25 pm):
beautiful car. I wish you would bring it here especially if you could make it handle. My wife loves the eos, but I would love to buy a Ford.
William M says (April 13, 2008 at 1:58 am):
man i can't wait to build these
