The new four-seater Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet debuted at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show in March. The new model joins the three-door, four-door, five-door, wagon and ST models, and in 2009 it will be joined by the all-new Ford Focus RS high performance model. The newly designed Focus Coupé-Cabriolet is a true four-seater that combines a high emotional appeal with the means for everyday use: With the roof closed, new Focus Coupé-Cabriolet offers a best-in-class luggage capacity.

“As with the generic new Ford Focus, with the Focus Coupé-Cabriolet we also felt the importance of aligning this vehicle with our ‘kinetic design’ language as soon as possible,” said Stephen Odell, Vice President Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford of Europe.

The entire front end design of the new Ford Focus was fully adopted for the Coupé-Cabriolet: The new three-dimensional hood design flows into the dual-trapezoidal-grille design, with both the upper and lower grille being equipped with chrome surrounding. The front bumper, lights and front fender designs clearly reflect the latest Focus styling, but are also tailored to perfectly fit the side view of the Coupé-Cabriolet.

“The new Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet is a special blend: We felt that the new front end design will perfectly complement the profile and rear end design. The result is a mix of latest level Focus dynamics and the Coupé-Cabriolet design,” said Chris Bird, Design Director at Ford of Europe.

Cindy says (May 9, 2008 at 9:40 am):
I LOVE this car...when can I get one? I am a LOYAL Ford buyer from my first 1986 Ford GT Mustang, then 1994 Ford Explorer, then my 2000 Ford Expedition and most recently because of horrible gas prices I now drive a 2007 Ford Focus...I've always wanted a Ford Mustang with a retractable hardtop convertible roof, but I'd settle for this Ford Focus convertible!! Please let me know when I can go order mine in my favorite shade of candy-apple red!!
Ron K. says (April 28, 2008 at 7:08 pm):
Looking at focus coupe--will wait till they are smart enough to bring the cabriolet over. This model could save JOBS!
chad C says (April 27, 2008 at 8:29 am):
I don't understand for the life of me why Ford can not see why they are not doing well in the US. Bring to the states what you have across the pond and it will be a run away hit in the US.!!!!!!! Ford has the chance to become a great car maker again by doing this! Stick with Pininfarina ideas Ford!
hayne says (April 25, 2008 at 12:25 pm):
beautiful car. I wish you would bring it here especially if you could make it handle. My wife loves the eos, but I would love to buy a Ford.
William M says (April 13, 2008 at 1:58 am):

george nichols says (April 11, 2008 at 12:19 am):
it's about time. this is fantastic. now bring it on. i think it looks like a winner from here
Alex A. says (April 8, 2008 at 9:25 pm):
Beautiful car! Just build it here (U.S.) and it will be bought-Iosis(?) concept car saw at NYC Auto Show great as well-easy sell. However-what was with the Milan with beige cloth interior at the show-bad choice to showcase at the show. Girlfriend just got Milan Premiere Black/Black leather-beautiful car! I have a Fusion myself....white with black cloth-pretty nice-much better than Milan or Fusion being shown off at the show.

Just please tell me you are going to make a Rally Car Version of this.........Please tell me that......because you a missing (along with every other manufacturer in the world) a whole market that needs to be tapped. Subaru did it with the WRX but they screwed it up---the re-design is for that car is a joke...it looks lika old Camry or something---their design squad is the worst ever---See Tribeca...... Anyway---make something for the Tuner heads and the Rally Racers.....a 4WD version in Rally Trim....how sweet would that be? Sure a convertible too...why the heck not?
Phil says (April 7, 2008 at 11:05 am):
Ford, it's about time you listen to the people who WANT to buy exciting cars like those made by Ford Europe. Start making those models (especially this new Focus cabriolet!!!) in our factories here, and you won't have any trouble luring import buyers back to the Ford name. People WANT to buy American, but you have to offer well-designed, reliable, efficient (and green!) vehicles to get people interested. The sooner you offer us something that surpasses the competition, the sooner Ford will be an exciting and profitable company again. The Escape Hybrid is a great vehicle, and the Mustang is still fun, but give us even more to choose from. Bring the Focus Cabriolet over here!
Daniel Brioens says (April 1, 2008 at 12:02 pm):
Nice car and it's a Ford worth looking into, I want one in blk.
Austin says (March 27, 2008 at 10:43 pm):
Ford you need to bring this ford to the USA as well as the Ford interceptor concept and the ford verve. If you do that you will dominate the American Auto market again!
Alexander says (March 27, 2008 at 6:16 pm):
Reminds me of a Mazda but it is not the focus that I remember. It bothers me because what I think of a focus is that a off roading tough car that will make you look up to go somewere that you can go off roading but still build it, because the Ford focus is great.
adam says (March 25, 2008 at 9:56 am):
yea love this design if only it was a possibility in america.........this convertible design is outstanding ford needs this car to add to its convertible lineup which dare i say is rather pathetic compared to others convertible lineups but ford probly wont ever bring this version of the focus to america and shame on them for that
Ray says (March 24, 2008 at 7:33 am):
The biggest reason Ford can't produce these cars here is because the union/mob bosses restrict the company's ability to sell it's cars in different markets. Look at GM's ill fated run with the GTO. They could only sell 17,000 due to union/mob rules about using parts manufactured in Australia. The unions/mob have choked the life blood out of the American car market and American manufacturing in general.

Posting the 'real Focus' at the top of the page is all fine and good, but we are not stupid, the Focus that North America gets is on the bottom of the page. Nice try Ford, you can't fool the real fans who love the Focus for what it is in Europe what it was here and what is could be in the future. Bring us something special to really shake up the small car market (again) and deliver a WORLD BEATER (again) to the people. Thanks.
Daniel says (March 14, 2008 at 8:11 pm):
And America is not worthy of this because???? Please get these Eropean Models across the pond ASAP! the sooner you make the change the sooner your profits will go up!!! Ford is the peoples car!!! Give us what we really want!!!! and afFORDable!!!
