They do sell a four door in Europe and South America it’s called a DOUBLE CAB with a Diesel engine so there’s the MPG and room for 4/5 adult’s, not like the extend version in America with the kiddie jump seat’s. I would buy the DOUBLE CAB if sold in AMERICA and CANADA, but since they don’t I gusses I will buy a TOYOTA TACOMA 4DR. Know wonder TOYOTA is number 1 and kicking our butt they listen to the consumer’s. Ford also needs to make the EDGE and Explore Sport Trek with a manual 6 speed I would then be interested in those has well.

What we need here in the work world is a vehicle that gets better mpg!! All the gadgets in the world won’t help if fuel cost is breaking the bank!!! I sold my 08 f-250 and bought a used truck that gets nearly double the mpg — the 6.4 is a fuel HOG!!!! 13 mpg empty is ludicrous. The truck I bought is not as comfortable as the 08 f250, but I can’t afford that much fuel— why not bring vehicles like the ford s-max diesel van from europe?? they get 40 mpg hwy –30 in town. I was in europe a few weeks ago and rode in them– nice van!! I would buy one in a heartbeat. They are a bit larger than the caravan, ride nice and great mpg!!!!

OK. So how about a small pickup with the new Ecoboost engines? Give it a bit of a retro-modern looking grill, step-side rear bed. Something those of us who don’t need an F-150 size truck could use, and that you don’t need a step ladder to climb into… enough power to do weekend trips to the hardware store or to toss a small bass boat in back and head to a nearby fishin’ hole?

I’ve heard Ford wants to ‘mid size’ the Ranger… Seems with $ 4 - $ 5 gasoline, that might be the exact wrong direction to go with the mini-F-150…

all the tech is good, but if you cant afford the gas to keep it running it is not worth a damm!!!!!!!! why dont ford put into a production vehicle that runs on hydrogen instead of gasolie and get off of oil, we need trucks to keep teh country moving,and we can do that with water the tech is there we have got to use this to make the world a better place, with less emissions

Here’s the problem with the Ford Work Solutions being “affordable technologies” the price for all these in a package is going to be over 5K most estimate closer to 10K. Yeah the little gagets are cool but honestly why bother, it’s just another way for for to milk us for every last cent. Now as for the comment on how ford needs to bring back the 7.3, I don’t see that happening any time soon. The 7.3 can and does outlast any other deisel on the market but it lags the stump pulling power of the 6.4. If they can implant the same technology into the 7.3 that they have in the 6.4 then they would rule the heavy duty market forever.

The work solutions is a great idea as a Ford sales associates all of the customers that i have showed this to loved it.

This is an exceptional step forward for the work truck. Asset control is big, and the losses are staggering. If this can save just one tool a year it will more than pay for itself. Wow.

Ford Work Solutions is a great idea. This should be, if it is not, offered in every F-series truck, E-Series van, and any other commercial vehicle. The only improvemet is that the printer should be factory installed somewhere out of the way. As an option, of course.
