The Lincoln MKR concept delivers elegant simplicity for modern premium buyers – as well as a new engine family. The four-door coupe features modern interpretations of Lincoln’s strongest design cues. Plus, the concept features environmentally friendly amenities and fuel-saving technology.

“This concept is the ultimate expression of elegant simplicity consistent with the world’s best Lincolns, and this new design language will lead us forward in the growing premium segment”, said Peter Horbury, executive director of Design, The Americas.

Seven key exterior cues define modern Lincoln design:
• Clean, uncluttered surfaces
• Powerful, dynamic beltline
• Chamfered surface running parallel to the beltline
• Distinctive Lincoln bow-wave, double-wing grille opening
• Thin, horizontal taillamps that run from one side to the other
• Powerful C-pillar smoothly transitioning into the cantilevered roof
• Powerful cantrail/roofrail

WOW!! you guy now that you are doing, there is no other automobil concept or in the market that can be compared to the MKR. IT's so beautiful! this is the way guy, the new MKS that is coming out soon great, thats the right direction.
D.L. Smith says (May 5, 2008 at 3:09 pm):
I have been a Lincoln fan for many years and have owned several of them my self, mostly town cars. The Lincoln name carries with it a clout that is unmatchable. This new concept raises the bar another level. The clout and prestige that the MKR carries, is like no other luxury car ever produced. The class, style, and elegance of the MKR, truly represents the epitome of money. I can’t wait for them to be mass produced. Five stars in my book any day.
Shannon Morris says (May 4, 2008 at 12:15 am):
I am a true Ford fan and I have to say that lately I have been very disappointed in the direction that to have been heading. GM as of late have owned the Ford call for innovation witk their own innovations as of late. I have to say that is a great step in the right direction. I would love to see more focus on gas mileage, styling, changing the visuals in the Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln brands like it was years ago, and diversity in the needs for a type of vehicles need. I keep up with Ford's progress and I love what I am seeing. I use to work in autoparts and I stressed to my customers that I don't sell as many parts for Ford as I do for GM and Chryler and I always recommend that women invest in Ford versus the competition. Thanks for hearing my voice and I look forward to seeing the great new things to come.......

Build it and they will come!! Stunning
John says (April 20, 2008 at 9:54 am):
The ideas that are transpired from this concept vehicle are the strong styles that Lincoln needs to continue to inspire new and former Lincoln owners. From the grill to the roofline, to the tail, the car shows a flow that is continued on the inside. The MKR's style needs to be produced in several of the Lincoln vehicles like the Ford Flex twin, also. You've got a seller for the high market Ford buyer espcially since Ford has sold Aston and Jaguar (as last reported in MotorTrend)

I LOVE THIS CAR!! THE BEST!! IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!
John Dancy says (April 9, 2008 at 4:11 pm):
I have seen and photographed this vehicle in Philadelphia. I currently own many Lincolns. If this vehicle goes to production, I ~know~ that I will own at least two: one for pleasure and one for storage. John "OldSchool1" Dancy © The Lincoln Mark VII Club

Paul says (March 29, 2008 at 3:57 pm):
Tone down the cheesy grin and build the thing...
Harvey says (April 14, 2008 at 1:00 pm):
I agree...the grill is a distraction from the car... shorten it up...or something
jo says (March 26, 2008 at 10:42 pm):
I have been driving a ford hybrid escape, waiting 4 the "MKR" since 1986 Idriven lincoln's the mk8 was "THE LAST OF THE MOHIAKAN's" so purchased the hybrid to hold me off 'all of a sudden a car called "MKS" popped up out of nowhere listen biuld "MKR" put a hump on rear trunk lid put the letters "CONTINENTAL" and keep the suicide doors guaranteed you "CRUSH" the competion P.S. I need a car "NOW"
kgm777 says (March 26, 2008 at 11:26 am):
Hoping Ford will spend some of that $2 billion they got from selling Jaguar and Land Rover on the future Town Car replacement. The MKR would be an excellent start.
Greg says (March 25, 2008 at 2:38 pm):
It is a shame that Ford Motor probably will not produce the car. If they did build it then it would be watered down. I purchased a brand new '07 Town Car in June and it is my 7th Lincoln and most likely my last. I hate to say that as I grew up on the suicide door Lincolns. My parents had a 1963 and 1968 (talk about style!). I will probably change to another brand of luxury car. I want to continue driving Lincolns but they do not have what I want. I love flying past Cadillacs, BMW's, Mercedes, and Lexuses as I blast down the interstate in my Town Car. That thing is a rocket ship and it still has some style left to it. It does not look like everyone else's luxury car. Ford please build Lincolns that will put every other luxury car to shame. How about the concept Mark 9 from several years ago or the Continental concept from several years ago. Those are the cars you should have built.
Matthew Reyes says (March 24, 2008 at 9:16 am):
WOW! I really hope I see this go into production. This would go nicely in the driveway next to my wife's MKZ.
ahmad otler says (March 24, 2008 at 12:35 am):
you will probably be able to reach me any time with an email im probably still on the computer trying to figure out which of these lincoln pics i want for my desktop background on my computer. We want the car DARNNIT how many times do we have to say it. a couple of more suggestions mr ford i know you dont read these but its a good tip make a lincoln worth paying as much as you would for a benz or a caddy or a bmw. when lincoln first came out they didnt have ford engines in them, so put in an engine that the other fords dont get something quieter more powerful and reliable i dont want to go to a ford dealership and sit that fusion and mkz side by side again and say the only diff is the front and the rear bumpers come on now its lincoln you know the caddy eaters. Oh yeah what makes me able to speak on this i only work for mgm grand detroit valet and a well known fact about us is that we move the most cars in the usa so we get to put the cars to the test daily and that navi, WHERES the Power 300 hp for that beast whats the deal and the grill does too oh and so does that air ride suspension you have been using for the last couple of decades or switch companies who make them cause after like 7 or so years they fail but anyways i have to go
Mike says (March 23, 2008 at 1:01 am):
If Ford bluids this car it will shock the luxury car market and everyone will be playing catch up for a few years. The sexiest part of this car is the engine with twin turbo chargers and that it is all chromed out. Besides the engine the entire car is sexy and I would buy it in a heart beat no matter what the price is.
Anthony Curry says (March 22, 2008 at 4:51 am):
I have been a loyal Ford customer. My first car was a Mercury Zephyr, then I purchased a Ford Thunderbird (1983). After that I moved up to the Lincoln Merk VII and then a Volvo XC 70. Please hurry and build the MKR before I buy a Caddie or an Audi.
Samar says (March 20, 2008 at 10:38 pm):
If Ford built the MKR, I would go out and buy one immediately. It's one of the sexiest concepts i've ever seen.
Brian Erickson says (March 14, 2008 at 11:18 pm):
I was wondering...is there any chance that Lincoln could possibly make the front grille just a little larger?
Amber says (March 10, 2008 at 1:14 pm):
I love this car. Nothing says it better! In fact Hurry up and Get em on the Lot I want to buy one......Maybe today if they had em. Everything about this car Is Sleek, Sophisticated and Has a Sex appeal. I love It. Forget What all the other 'Commentors' are saying. Its a WIN vs. WIN Situation. And I'm A women Who Knows about 'Real' Style. Love it. Ms. Amber
