Hello….Ford… waht’s the deal The Kuga rocks!! Why don’t we have it in the states?

For those of us who want sometning like the Escape, with the 2.5L engine (and a 6-speed manual from the Mazda 6), but not the “truck like” Escape/Mariner/Tribute, the Kuga is perfect. I would give up my Mazda 3 for this in a heartbeat. Just do it!

Ford, be a leader again. Bring the Verve and Kuga to the USA quick! The days of the big trucks in the USA are long gone. Beat the other guys to the US market!

I just returned from a European vacation where I stumbled upon the new Kuga. It is incredible!! This car needs to be in the US!! I picked up a brochure in Austria and then had to find one in Britain to read since I don’t understand German. The styling is so unique because we don’t see the European influence with Ford North America. I’m glad to see it will eventually migrate over here. But, we can’t wait for 3 to 5 years for that to happen. Ford needs a hit now. The Kuga can be that car. Bill Ford: you are all about being “green”. Get this car over here. The higher mpg would be exactly what we need. Please hurry.

It’s disappointing that markets outside of the USA are getting models that would be competitive with Asian cars on the road here. Ford needs an infusion of youthful energies. Instead of what has been coming off the production lines in the NA market let’s get more Kuga. Hybrid would be nice, or other alternative energy source.

PLEASE bring the Kuga to the US. We are long-time Ford owners and lovers - 66 T-Bird, 91 Tempo, 97 Escort, 3 Focuses an 06 Five Hundred and an 07 F-150. We don’t like the Edge as it’s too boxy and clumsy looking, not to mention way heavy on the chrome. The Kuga is exactly what we’re looking for. Hurry before we’re persuaded by the Volkswagen Tiguan or Mazda Rogue! Don’t let us break our Ford family tradition…

The Ford Edge is great but the Kuga takes Ford to a whole new level. I saw the Kuga at the Sexy Green Car Show and fell in love. Please bring it to the US. Europeans and the Brits love Ford and America wants to love Ford again! Give us a chance!!

Add hybrid features to the Edge and Kuga, automatic option on the Kuga, and upgrade the seating options and you have some guaranteed winners!

Whoever from Europe got the brilliant idea to call this car KUGA, should know that this in serbo-croatian as well as in slovenian means PLAGUE!!!! So if you want to get one you should choose from bubonic, pneumonic or ford kuga?!!!

Looking all over the web the feeling seems to be the same as mine. Ford get off your slow movin backsides and bring the Kuga to the NA market as-is please, no three bar grills. If you wait to long the oportunity will pass you buy.

I was looking to buy until I learned it was a diesel engine. How about a hybrid engine?

I like this crossover, this new car and the best car.

I’ll most likely be buying a new SUV or Crossover vehicle in the next year or so, and would LOVE to see the Kuga as an option here in the USA. But since this won’t be available for a few more years, I’m most likely gonna get something other than a Ford. If anyone from Ford is listening/reading, PLEASE get the Kuga here to the States…we desperately need new designs. I would especially love a Hybrid version.

Iosis ; Strictly a class act design . Concept to be believed in when it comes to possibilities . Competition is tough and within the import market taking a bigger bite out of it . There is no obvious reason why the Iosis cannot be seen on the roads in North American . Retooling the assembly line would be well worth it in the long run . An instant economy boost for Ford in America .

Ford has reputation here is Singapore for being very slow in bringing in new model. By the time the car arrive, other manufacturers has already introduce a more up to date model. Will Kuga make the different?
Hope not! Kuga will fit well wuth a hybrid engine since gas is skyrocketing and it’s going to be a one way ticket.

I’ve never liked Ford designs until now. This is the only Ford vehicle that I actually like. Make it available in a plug-in HYBRID with no less than 30 MPG City, Fuel CELL, or ALL ELECTRIC, and I’ll buy it. Forget the Ford Escape, Bring the Ford Kuga to the United State now. I’ll be buying a new SUV in 2008. If the KUGA is available, I’ll buy one. Otherwise I will purchase something other than a FORD.

Wow. Just hope you bring it stateside. I drive a Subaru Forester now. It’s a great car that does a lot of things well except its a little frumpy needless to say. Would like to have a reason to buy American..the Kuga could be it.

it’s a shame Ford can design wonderful concepts but puts out junk like the Tuarus X and the rent a car loser the old Taurus.

New direction? Ford hasn’t made a fun to drive car since the Merkur XR4Ti and that was over 20 years ago.

They know how to show what they could do - they think people will buy the brand on that. But when it comes to what actually comes out of the factory you are way better off buying a Honda or a Toyota or even a VW.

Ford has no special feel to it unless you like cheap fabrics and cheap plastic there is no reason to buy a Ford.

This looks like a really neat vehicle. I like the diesel in it. Now, Ford bring it across the pond to the US. I think it will be a hit. I’m a diesel fan having owned a Power Stroke 7.3 L since 2001. We need to have other options to the gas engines here in the U.S.

 I agree with DJ. This vehicle is gorgeous and ford needs some more diesel vehicles here in the US. It’s understandable why they havn’t since US emissions standards are becoming more and more strict. This vehicle could attack the Toyota Rav4(barf) market. I’m also really impressed with the interior. I’m really impressed with the direction Ford is going and hope that things continue to get better

THE DESIGN IS SPOT ON. ITS LINES ARE BOLD AND THEY EXPRESS ALOT OF CHARACTER. THERE’S AN EXCELLENT FLOW TO IT. ITS PERFECT, I GIVE IT A TEN!
