Just imagine what its going to cost you to replace that one-piece windsheild/roof/rear window…if you get it vandalized or get rock chips in it. Gosh it would break your wallet. Like buying this car is going to leave you any spending cash when you’re done. Nice design though. American engineers designed a muscle car. The Italian designed a sexy car. I personally prefer the sexy Giugiaro design myself. It has more power than the Mustang GT and I am sure it can walk circles around the GT 500. If this is where the new mustang design is going … CONGRATS FORD. Finally a car that can compete with the styling and performance of the new Camaro and Challenger models! BRAVO FORD, BRAVO!

Just a stupid question… although this a beatiful car… is this the prototype for the 2014 mustang 50th anniversary. I love the mustang and have since i was 12 years old and i am now 40. i have a 2001 and i love it. but i want to get a 50th anniversary special edition.

I say that this websit e is fit for haven. the car is fine. looks great. looks white in color. the doors are made of solid steel. it looks like great wood work has gone into making this car. the engine looks nice. looks like about 1800 cc. one can make aobut 200 miles wihtout any thing happening to the engine. the reliability is nice much better than previous cars. ford is a good company with some good models and good engines and other stuff. their engines are world renown for their relaiblity and ability to perform under a lot of pressure. the exterior is nice the hood is solid.

i really like the mustang i have a 2007 now this one here is really nice and sweet the only thing i dont like about it is the glass roof take that away and it woukd be awsome.

Wow i have to just say good job to ford. Now people you can not lie this car just takes your breath away, and the orange just makes it look even better. Now although ford is startin to fade a little they just kicked it up a notch, i wish they would just choose better people to advertise instead of the dixie sluts because i liked it when Toby Keith did it for them. Still amazing car and well done.

Ford has lost ground to too many other manufactures over the years. Aggressive styling, higher quality interior materials and good fuel efficiency are some of the reasons why many European and Asian car makers have been propelled ahead of our domestic product. If they made this car with at least the same current fuel efficiency standards, I’d definitely consider it over an Infiniti G37 or Lexus IS 300. But imagine the sales of this car was made as a hybrid like that of the hybrid Altima and got around 26-28 mpg city.

If you build this car put the Cammer 5.0 engine in it. Stay away from turbos and superchargers That’s just more problems you have to deal with.

Didnt ford already show the new mustang, well, i bouth the motor trend magazine and they showed the new mustang, and guess what, it is not going to be the guiaro, it is similar but it has more retro things.

I just bought an Sti (after 4 mustangs and 2 rangers) because I got tired of ford not stepping into the future.

Give me a 400hp, e85, 6spd, awd in this car and I’ll buy it right now.

Note: On pump gas, the sti gets 20mpg in the city and yet runs 13.20’s bone stock. All for $32K. I love my mustangs, but at $4/gal for fuel Ford needs to get with the program.

The Vette, the AMG, M3, and countless others are in the 12’s stock. True the Mustang is half their price, but I don’t accept that as being a limitation to equal the performance. (We all know 20% of those other cars prices comes from the name.) So the Mustang should be able to equal those numbers for $40k. To do so it’ll need 400hp, e85, 6 spd and awd. And in this body style!

The Mustang Guigiaro is an awesome looking car. I definitely buy that vehicle. I hope ford plans to use of of its look on the next Mustang version. It just looks fast and it looks more futuristic but kept some nice pony features. This would make a great production car.

Love the dash and instrument cluster, also not a fan of the roof or the overall styling of the car. Take the 08 mustang GT/CS and put that interior in it then you’d have something special. I prefer the muscle car look not the wanna bee beamer!

I want this car !!!! I like the look of the glass top but is it in three sections or one ? I don’t want to replace the entire glass from hood to trunk if I get a crack. other than that this car is cutting edge. Being a ford man we needed something new to give us that wow factor and this car does that. If it has the hp to match.

Get rid of that glass roof and count me in, I’d hate to get a chip ion it going down the highway and then having to pay $3,000 to get it replaced. Hard top or a convertable, to hell with the glass roof.

Can you say ugly………When did Ford decide to make a Mustang II again and call it a 2009 or 2010 Mustang. UGLY……….LEAVE THE MUSTANG ALONE….Do subtle changes you don’t need to build a freaking LAMBO and call it a Mustang. The Mustang died in the middle to late 70’s with the so called Mustang II. Looks like It may happen all over again. I love Mustangs but not this one. It dont even look like a freakin mustang. But I’m just one person. I’m sure many people will agree with me and I’m sure many will disagree, All I know is that I’m a ford guy and have owened 4 different Mustangs, but if this car comes out Count me out. I roll down to the Chevy dealership and get a new Camaro before I’d ever consider that Italian Mustang.

I just saw this car for the first time a couple days ago, and can not stop thinking about it. I believe this would make an excellent addition to the Ford family, but not as the “new” mustang. I absolutly love mustangs dont get me wrong, and maybe i am wording this wrong, but i think this car should be a special order type of car, sort of like the Roush/Shelby versions. I think there should be the original mustang/mustang gt for those “classic mustang lovers” and the Roush/Shelby/Guigaro for those who want a sportier/sleeker/sexier car. I did take the time to read through a few other post and totally disagree with the thoughts that this is just a “Camaro Clone”. There are some similiarities yes, but then again there are some similarities in the 67′ fastback and 68 camaro. I think the car looks more like the current mustang design than that other companies concept. The lines flow a bit nicer and the car really demands attention.

This is the coolest car i have ever seen come out of ford. it is almost a better Chevy Camero which is about to come out. this is awesome. i hope ford grows a pair and decides to actually come out with this car instead of just making a really cool concept and not going any further with the car like they have done with all of their other concepts in the past like 5 years that is why toyota is destroying everyone else in the market.

I love this thing, it is a representation of true retro Automobile styling.
being 6′6″ makes many cars a little too cosy so I would have to try this on if it ever became a production model.
I am wondering if Giugairos created the body work too or if their design was fabricated by Ford.

I would prefer that ford builds this car, but not with the name mustang, Bring a new attractive euro name or just call it Giugiaro, or some random letters or numbers. And leave the mustang as original to the 1964 frame as possible and don’t bring in anything other than american to the mustang name. Introducing it hopefully with the intercepter too as soon as possible.

This is one ugly Mustang. The Ford Mustang is a American Icon. Not a Italian Piece of garbage. It dosent even flow with the mustang legacy. Its supposed to be an American muscle car not a Exotic car. The Current Mustang is fine just the way it is. The other photos I’ve seen of 2009 spy shots looks good, its the same as the current model with a slight change to the front end. I’ve always been a Mustang fan. I love the 2005-2008 models. But if For produces this car. They might as well call it the Mustang II again just like in the mid to late 70’s. The ugliest Mustangs ever made. LEAVE THE MUSTANG ALONE…………..Its the way it should be now. If they want to do anything else to it keep the retro look but keep the reto look between the years of 1965

I think that this car is the coolest and hottest car that the muscle car scene has seen if you make this car. From what i have seen at the other companies and their cars this is the best. It’s sleek, sexy, and Fast of course. you should defently manufacture this car.

From the photos provided, this car seems to be one of the best mustang styles i have ever seen. this is now my favorite model, even though it is only a concept car. If e ever have the money, the first thing i would buy is one of these. This is up there with the Shelby 500 used in the film “Gone in 60 seconds”.

absolutely georgeous……looks mean and wicked……I would even out the tail lights to similar lengths—thats just me. I just cringe thinking of the BS that the automotive press will make up to slam it……..oh the door slam is junky or the heater knob is in the wrong spot…….or it only goes 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and the 150K Porsche does it in 3.8 seconds……just build it…gas prices may not have an effect here…

I am dedicated to ‘Ford’s family of fine cars’(Ford, Lincln, Mercury, Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover, and last but not least, Mazda), and I like the look of the Ford Mustang ‘Giugiaro’,but being 6′3″ tall with 36″(inseam) legs,I don’t know if I could get into one. But I still think it looks cool,and if I could get into it,I just might buy one. Nonetheless,I will always remain a Ford guy,Ford-keep up the good work

This car doesn’t look like a Mustang. It doesn’t even look like an American car. Were there no capable American car designers available for this design? I just bought a 2008 Mustang GT a couple of days ago. I’m glad I didn’t wait for the new model. Of all car models, you would think that the Mustang would be the most important to keep “American”. I am so tired of being told by everyone that if our stuff doesn’t look “European” it doesn’t look cool. Why can’t we have our own designs. And who says ours don’t look good. Mustangs and Firebirds, etc. all look much more intimidating and cooler than any foreign car.

This is one ugly Mustang. I really hope Ford doesn’t repeat history by ruining the Mustang again, just as they did in ‘74 all the way to ‘05.

I really like this mustang and think that it should be put into production, especially with Chevy and Dodge bringing in their newly remodeled muscle cars. I am a Mustang man (always have been, always will be) and I think this car compliments Mustang’s legacy.
