I want this car !!!! I like the look of the glass top but is it in three sections or one ? I don’t want to replace the entire glass from hood to trunk if I get a crack. other than that this car is cutting edge. Being a ford man we needed something new to give us that wow factor and this car does that. If it has the hp to match.

Get rid of that glass roof and count me in, I’d hate to get a chip ion it going down the highway and then having to pay $3,000 to get it replaced. Hard top or a convertable, to hell with the glass roof.

I mean really what is with Ford trying to go all Italian and Japanese, there is nothing wrong with Italian or Japanese cars but Ford is an American comany and it should make good old American cars.

Can you say ugly………When did Ford decide to make a Mustang II again and call it a 2009 or 2010 Mustang. UGLY……….LEAVE THE MUSTANG ALONE….Do subtle changes you don’t need to build a freaking LAMBO and call it a Mustang. The Mustang died in the middle to late 70’s with the so called Mustang II. Looks like It may happen all over again. I love Mustangs but not this one. It dont even look like a freakin mustang. But I’m just one person. I’m sure many people will agree with me and I’m sure many will disagree, All I know is that I’m a ford guy and have owened 4 different Mustangs, but if this car comes out Count me out. I roll down to the Chevy dealership and get a new Camaro before I’d ever consider that Italian Mustang.

Ford does indeed need to pump this car out and put it on the market. If I ever get my hands on one, God save my family, because I’m gonna be gone for a LONG time.

I just saw this car for the first time a couple days ago, and can not stop thinking about it. I believe this would make an excellent addition to the Ford family, but not as the “new” mustang. I absolutly love mustangs dont get me wrong, and maybe i am wording this wrong, but i think this car should be a special order type of car, sort of like the Roush/Shelby versions. I think there should be the original mustang/mustang gt for those “classic mustang lovers” and the Roush/Shelby/Guigaro for those who want a sportier/sleeker/sexier car. I did take the time to read through a few other post and totally disagree with the thoughts that this is just a “Camaro Clone”. There are some similiarities yes, but then again there are some similarities in the 67′ fastback and 68 camaro. I think the car looks more like the current mustang design than that other companies concept. The lines flow a bit nicer and the car really demands attention.

This is the coolest car i have ever seen come out of ford. it is almost a better Chevy Camero which is about to come out. this is awesome. i hope ford grows a pair and decides to actually come out with this car instead of just making a really cool concept and not going any further with the car like they have done with all of their other concepts in the past like 5 years that is why toyota is destroying everyone else in the market.

I’ve been a ford guy since I can remember. There dedication to the American society helps me think that maybe there is some hope. But Im just curious to how they are going to survive in todays market.

I love this thing, it is a representation of true retro Automobile styling.
being 6′6″ makes many cars a little too cosy so I would have to try this on if it ever became a production model.
I am wondering if Giugairos created the body work too or if their design was fabricated by Ford.

I would prefer that ford builds this car, but not with the name mustang, Bring a new attractive euro name or just call it Giugiaro, or some random letters or numbers. And leave the mustang as original to the 1964 frame as possible and don’t bring in anything other than american to the mustang name. Introducing it hopefully with the intercepter too as soon as possible.

This is one ugly Mustang. The Ford Mustang is a American Icon. Not a Italian Piece of garbage. It dosent even flow with the mustang legacy. Its supposed to be an American muscle car not a Exotic car. The Current Mustang is fine just the way it is. The other photos I’ve seen of 2009 spy shots looks good, its the same as the current model with a slight change to the front end. I’ve always been a Mustang fan. I love the 2005-2008 models. But if For produces this car. They might as well call it the Mustang II again just like in the mid to late 70’s. The ugliest Mustangs ever made. LEAVE THE MUSTANG ALONE…………..Its the way it should be now. If they want to do anything else to it keep the retro look but keep the reto look between the years of 1965

I think that this car is the coolest and hottest car that the muscle car scene has seen if you make this car. From what i have seen at the other companies and their cars this is the best. It’s sleek, sexy, and Fast of course. you should defently manufacture this car.

From the photos provided, this car seems to be one of the best mustang styles i have ever seen. this is now my favorite model, even though it is only a concept car. If e ever have the money, the first thing i would buy is one of these. This is up there with the Shelby 500 used in the film “Gone in 60 seconds”.

absolutely georgeous……looks mean and wicked……I would even out the tail lights to similar lengths—thats just me. I just cringe thinking of the BS that the automotive press will make up to slam it……..oh the door slam is junky or the heater knob is in the wrong spot…….or it only goes 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and the 150K Porsche does it in 3.8 seconds……just build it…gas prices may not have an effect here…

I am dedicated to ‘Ford’s family of fine cars’(Ford, Lincln, Mercury, Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover, and last but not least, Mazda), and I like the look of the Ford Mustang ‘Giugiaro’,but being 6′3″ tall with 36″(inseam) legs,I don’t know if I could get into one. But I still think it looks cool,and if I could get into it,I just might buy one. Nonetheless,I will always remain a Ford guy,Ford-keep up the good work

This car doesn’t look like a Mustang. It doesn’t even look like an American car. Were there no capable American car designers available for this design? I just bought a 2008 Mustang GT a couple of days ago. I’m glad I didn’t wait for the new model. Of all car models, you would think that the Mustang would be the most important to keep “American”. I am so tired of being told by everyone that if our stuff doesn’t look “European” it doesn’t look cool. Why can’t we have our own designs. And who says ours don’t look good. Mustangs and Firebirds, etc. all look much more intimidating and cooler than any foreign car.

This is one ugly Mustang. I really hope Ford doesn’t repeat history by ruining the Mustang again, just as they did in ‘74 all the way to ‘05.

I really like this mustang and think that it should be put into production, especially with Chevy and Dodge bringing in their newly remodeled muscle cars. I am a Mustang man (always have been, always will be) and I think this car compliments Mustang’s legacy.

This is taking the Mustang to another level, I have driven Mustangs’s my whole life staerting with a 1970 fast back to present. This concept has a delicate blend of Italian design and and American muscle, I pray that with a possible engery crsis on the horizon, Ford will not stick a four cyclinder in it like the late 70’s Mustangs. Keep pushing the envolope, and by the way, I wished a Camaro looked this good

I like the design. I even like the interior. The Mustang horse is a wild breed, that’s where the hide pattern probably comes from. The glass top looks aerodynamic as well. I really like the tail lights.

At first, this is a very stunning concept, but, once again, Ford is looking at deviating from the original design of the vintage mustang. Even though part of me says, “Buid it”, the other half says, DON”T!!!” Yes, it has hints of a mustang, but most of it isn’t. What I do like is the rear-end and tail light design, but most of all, I love the interior. For some strange reason, Ford continues to drop the ball every year on desinging an interior that is eye-catching…WHY? The mustang is a beautiful car on the outside, but is VERY PLAIN JANE on the inside!!! SOOOOOO frustrating!!! If they can start making the interior like this concept model has, they will definitely sell tons more of these bad boys. Yes, the mustang known more as a muscle car, but it first started out a very inexpensive leisure car when they first came out. I would love to see Ford put a little more thought in seriously upgrading the interior in ALL of the mustang models!!! I just noticed that the ‘09 models will come with the option if a glass roof, which I think is awesome! Now, let’s see if they can step it up and improve the interior for the ‘09 models. If so, I will buy one!!! I’m just waiting for it Ford!!! Show me what’s up your sleeve!

I love the rear quarters and the way the rear roof pinches in like the 67. 68 but make the taillights and rear fascia more like the 69, 70 and MOST IMPORTANT!!! Do not use that poor excuse for a 2000-2004 nose on any Mustang EVER!!!!!
Just evolve the current Shelby nose and dump the 4.0 six and but in a 3.5-3.7 six from the Fusion and the v-8 from the new Bullitt and you will wipe the floor with the new Canaro and Chalenger and sell 200 thousand of them.
