I’ve owned a great number of performance vehicles, even trucks. Recently, I owned a Dodge Daytona w/ Factory headers, ram cool air intake, Magna flow pipes, and mod. suspension in 4 x 4. BUT, I agree w/ an earlier comment, weight/size is the enemy. Too many large trucks that require large engines for power. Update the Ranger and put the mustang engine in it. Good performance - Good fuel economy - (5 speed please) less competitors in the market place. For a limited addition, a 4.6 SC w/ 420HP, 20″ wheels, posi-T 3.73, cat back exhaust, lower suspension and GREAT SHOCKS, engine bracing, LG anti-sway bars…HOT Paint! would be a great project for Steeda.

There is new release of new models of cars from different companies. The best company in the world which release much nice models of car is Ford. Latest car that has been released by ford was very excellent.

O.k, here’s the deal with this truck. I am one of the mechanics that installed the supercharger system. The engine is the standard 5.4 Triton. The supercharger is from Roush, not Saleen like someone posted. The reason the suspension is not lowered like the original show truck is that Ford had some durability issues with it, so they decided to use the same suspension, front and rear, as the Harley Davidson F-150. You have to remember that this is still a production truck and due to delays between Ford and the company I worked for we had very little time to assemble these trucks. I agree that a lowered suspension looked better. Hope this sheds a little light on these trucks.

i have an 07 FX2 Sport, i don’t suppose there is any way of getting this upgrade done to mine is there. i saw one of these in my home town this morning and really loved the look with the look. i had never heard of it until then so i naturally had to google it.

I did take the plunge and bought one.When i got it i was surprized to see it did not have the stance of the one shown at the auto show photos. When i asked Chip Foose about the differences i found he said it was up to Ford weither or not they followed the exact rendurings or not. So since then i have had a Roush lower kit put in and a couple of other things like a Leer cover and bed rug and now it looks real cool. Oh the other thing cool about it is the fact that my wife really likes it also. Look out when going down the road because it is truely very fast and you do not really think you are going as fast as you think.

ford hasn’t manufactured the 5.8L for over ten years now. last year was a 97 f250. Get your facts straight before you post. and i agree they need to install rear sway bars from the factory. Its a great lookin truck and i wish i could afford one.

No, this has the standard 5.4L 24-V Triton V8. They just put a Saleen Inter-Cooled Supercharger and a custom catback dual exhaust to get it that 450hp and 500lb.-ft. When I turn 16 I hope I can afford one of these bad boys.

It’s a 5.4L triton V8. Always has been. It’s the same engine that’s in the Shelby mustangs.

They all have the same 5.4 motor. The difference is the bolt on parts and tuning. And for those who don’t know moters , a 5.4 and the 4.6 is the same core block.This truck turns more power than the Lightning and the Cobra R did.

the foose looks good but i just don’t think its in the same class as the lighting is. a four door sport truck is just more wight to pull BRING BACK THE LIGHTING

Don’t forget about the Ram SRT-10, and the Dakota R/T. Them, including the Lightning are pretty much the 3 fastest trucks ever produced.

I strongly agree with “BRING BACK THE LIGHTNING” My husband ordered the first and I refuse to replace the second until I can get a match. My brother-in-law has also had two and we are waiting for the nex-gen true “LIGHTNING”. My black 1999 still trun heads.

I’m kinda surprised. The Foose has an additional 140 hp over stock yet they never saw fit to install a rear anti-sway bar or use the Ford Motorsports rear shackle kit to lower the back end 2″. I found my ‘07 F-150 FX2 had way too mcuh roll turning corners so I lowered the back end 2″ and installed an anti-sway bar out back. Big time changes in handling > for the best. I’m kinda surprised Ford can’t see the better idea light bulb > they have the parts. My ‘00 F-150 Sport came with a rear anti-sway bar - stock so I really think Ford fell down in this one aspect. Same with the Foose.
The body skirts look smokin’ though.
I’m thinkin’ I’ll get a set of the side and rear body skirts and add them to my FX2 > a real nice touch.

If you read at the bottom it says triton v-8, this truck does have the 5.4 in it.

Too bad it has the 4.6 and not the 5.4. Even though it is supercharged they should have given it the same specs and the beastly Harley Davidson instead of basically giving us a FX2 with a supercharger, a paint job, and a crazy price.

its nice but its only 2 wheel drive and i think Foose didnt put any effort into this truck i was going to trade off my 05 HARLEY and get one until i seen it. My harley’s the interior is way nicer…. but nice truck anyway and nicer price tag…

Chip Foose is brilliant! He added stripes, changed the rims, and stamped his name on the tail in exchange for $$$. Now, why don’t the people that work at Ford ever think of doing their job??? It would save the Company!!!

Good looks are one thing economy is another. I like a good looking truck and one that gives me good gas milage. Does Ford have anything out there like that in the next year? I’m not asking for much. I have a Sport Trac and like its still but the eight banger only gets roughly 13 mpg in town and 19 on the road I want better especialy with the price of gas going through the roof.

I’m surprised your sport Trac get only 13 in town and 19 on the highway! I have an ‘03 F-150 SC lariat with the 5.4 and get 15 in town and 21 on the highway and I don’t baby it. Maybe ya better take your sporttrac in?

Great truck, When will FOOSE get together with HONDA and make a FOOSE HONDA CIVIC. I Would buy three(one to drive, one to race, and one to look at). I highly recommend FOOSE look into it.

Its nice to see that Ford and Foose come together to build this machine, but I’m disappointed that little effort was put into making the exterior stand out from the rest of the F150 line. My FX2 could be easly mistaken if I was to change the badges. So if your going to put a truck together with that much power, please give it a much more agressive look.

Ford is really missing out by not selling the crew cab Ranger in the USA. Love the 1/2 ton but need the gas mileage of the Ranger.

I order a 08 f250 6sp. man. the works, What a let down. The dealership called it drifen the truck pulls from side to side and the brakes go to the floor then you can pump them up. 5th new ford and ford dont care. there great as long as you don’t have something wrong.see you at the hearing sign the all new 2008 lemon

I LOVE my 2005 f150. I drive 35,000 miles a year, I need the diesel power F150. The $3.00 gas kills me. My wife would not even put up a fight when I my next truck. Since 1996 have have purchase 4 brand new trucks. ps I bleed FORD blue. God bless America.

This looks to much like a race/muscle car than a truck. Trucks should be 4×4 with lift kits and huge tires not lowered 2 inches off the ground. I’m a Foose fan but this would look much better on a car than a truck.

I am sorry but the public and customers crack me up. I am a Ford man; I have been selling them for over 13 years now. People constantly come in to me complaining that they want 40, 50 and 60 mpg and yet people on here want a larger horsepower and bigger motor in a Fusion? Come on, the horsepower in our line up is plenty and adequate, the more power drinks more gas, and where in this country can you run and use all that power legally? And more importantly, Why? This Foose F150 is going to be a base $55000 truck and what is it good for other than showing who has the bigger…..?

 hello there first of all i would like to say that i am truly the BIGGEST BLUE OVAL FAN ON THE PLANET.I bleed blue blood well not quite but you know what i mean.I would really like to see ford comeback with a new but retro style torino ithink that sucsess would be written all over it as long as it was muscular looking.With that being said i personally think that the big shots at ford are going to have to sit down and take a long look at their design team.The reasons i think this is when i take a look at this companys lineup its somewhat boring.I like the fusion designers effort as this car is a great car but lacks finish and when i say this i talking about a nice upgrade in the engine department.The two hundred and some odd horsepower is lacking immensely and needs refinement as well as the looks of the car just wont cut it with younger buyers because of a lack of SPORTINESS!!! The edge is a good start good job guys the ranger needs a major overhaul.Bring back an all new bronco and stop spending so much time and money on the escape,explorer,focus and tauraus much more to complain about but i have no more time still love ford foreever well meet again chris chamaschuk

 Please don’t give up on the Bronco. I know this is off topic but I’ve been waiting forever. My 87 full size bronco finally gave up the ghost a few years back and your concept got me excited. Toyota released the 2 door fj cruiser, with rear half doors. Please don’t make it Hummer-esque go 1st gen Bronco, lean, useful 4×4 that is good with fuel not too big and high tech. Round wheel wells are a must. I’ll be the first in line to order one. My 2 cents. Ford rocks.
