“Overhaulin’” star Chip Foose—Hot Rod Hall of Fame’s youngest inductee and Hollywood’s custom vehicle builder of choice—makes his stamp on a Ford favorite by designing the 2008 Ford F-150 Foose edition. Foose’s design visually lowers the truck, giving some hot rod style to the iconic American pickup.

At last year’s Specialty Equipment Marketing Association Association convention, the Ford truck team issued Foose a challenge: “We asked [him] to design a tough, muscular street rod based on the Ford F-150 FX2 Sport pickup that will knock the socks off even the most hard-core boulevard cruiser fan,” says Ben Poore, Ford Truck group marketing manager. “And let’s make it available in less than a year before the 2007 SEMA show.” The process was easier than it sounds, Foose says, because he had a great canvas – the Ford F-150 – to work with. It was also a labor of love. Chip Foose’s personal primary ride is a souped-up 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat.

Less than five months later, Ford and Foose are revealing the low-slung, production-intent Ford F-150 Foose Edition show truck, a precursor to the truck that will bow in the fall of 2007 as the most powerful and fastest half-ton production truck on the planet. The intercooled, supercharged Triton® V-8 pumps out 450 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 500 pounds-foot of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The 2008 Ford F-150 Foose Edition will begin life as an FX2 Sport model from the Kansas City Assembly Plant. The unique Foose elements will be customized at a modification center before being shipped to Ford dealers. The truck will go on sale by early 2008.

the foose looks good but i just don't think its in the same class as the lighting is. a four door sport truck is just more wight to pull BRING BACK THE LIGHTING
Jerry says (August 14, 2008 at 9:24 pm):
I'm kinda surprised. The Foose has an additional 140 hp over stock yet they never saw fit to install a rear anti-sway bar or use the Ford Motorsports rear shackle kit to lower the back end 2". I found my '07 F-150 FX2 had way too mcuh roll turning corners so I lowered the back end 2" and installed an anti-sway bar out back. Big time changes in handling > for the best. I'm kinda surprised Ford can't see the better idea light bulb > they have the parts. My '00 F-150 Sport came with a rear anti-sway bar - stock so I really think Ford fell down in this one aspect. Same with the Foose.
The body skirts look smokin' though.
I'm thinkin' I'll get a set of the side and rear body skirts and add them to my FX2 > a real nice touch.

If you read at the bottom it says triton v-8, this truck does have the 5.4 in it.
M. Cruz says (July 24, 2008 at 4:23 pm):
Too bad it has the 4.6 and not the 5.4. Even though it is supercharged they should have given it the same specs and the beastly Harley Davidson instead of basically giving us a FX2 with a supercharger, a paint job, and a crazy price.
bob caro says (June 29, 2008 at 3:18 pm):

Derrick Criitenden says (June 19, 2008 at 12:10 am):
its nice but its only 2 wheel drive and i think Foose didnt put any effort into this truck i was going to trade off my 05 HARLEY and get one until i seen it. My harley's the interior is way nicer.... but nice truck anyway and nicer price tag...
peter villeneuve says (June 4, 2008 at 11:11 am):

Minou says (May 16, 2008 at 10:06 am):
Chip Foose is brilliant! He added stripes, changed the rims, and stamped his name on the tail in exchange for $$$. Now, why don't the people that work at Ford ever think of doing their job??? It would save the Company!!!

who cares what this truck costs?it is a very nice truck,if you complain about the price dont buy it.
Dexter Dan says (March 21, 2008 at 6:51 pm):
Good looks are one thing economy is another. I like a good looking truck and one that gives me good gas milage. Does Ford have anything out there like that in the next year? I'm not asking for much. I have a Sport Trac and like its still but the eight banger only gets roughly 13 mpg in town and 19 on the road I want better especialy with the price of gas going through the roof.
Anonymous says (March 6, 2008 at 10:41 pm):
Nice truck Chump Foose, I hope people realise this is a 100K truck.
Randy says (February 25, 2008 at 4:19 pm):
As all I can say is wow . I have a F-150 " Harley D. " 2006 a.w.d. , I,ve lowered it and chipped it and I love it . But I would trade my truck ( in a heart beat ) for one of these if they offered it in the a.w.d.
KEVIN RAMIREZ says (February 15, 2008 at 12:19 pm):
WELL I'VE SAID I LOVED THE FORD INTERCEPTOR... BUT KNOW I GOT 2 DREAM FORD CARS..."THE 2008 FOOSE F-150 AS A TRUCK"
MIGUEL GUTIERREZ says (February 15, 2008 at 1:56 am):
Great truck, When will FOOSE get together with HONDA and make a FOOSE HONDA CIVIC. I Would buy three(one to drive, one to race, and one to look at). I highly recommend FOOSE look into it.
tommy b says (July 10, 2008 at 7:09 pm):
