I currently own a 2006 Ford Freestyle which has been one of the most comfortable cars I have ever owned. I used to drive Infiniti and Saabs' Honestly this car has exceeded all my expectations. My only complaint is that I wish it was available with 8-way passenger seat adjusting ability. It performs really well, goes thru 23" of snow with ease, and handles any load within reason. But now I'm looking forward to the Ford Flex because it looks sportier than the Freestyle/Taurus. (I like the 'Fairlane' name better though-Flex sounds like a fuel/hybrid version which this is not.) What I really like is the MK-T concept from Lincoln because it looks like a Lincoln-not a Mercury with a chrome package. I think it is the most exciting concept to come out of Lincoln in a long time. Every detail, the perforated design on the door handles to the lucite bezels around the gauges is all wonderful. So Lincoln build the MK-T, call it the Mark-T and you'll have me, if not, I'm waiting for the Flex with my check book in hand. Oh and by the way my Freestyle lease is up Oct 2008. And make sure it has 8-way passenger seating adjustment for my very picky partner 'Mark.' So I guess you can say I'm hooked... I'll see you at the NY Auto Show.. Ron

I saw this car at the Miami auto show in nov. 07. I was very impressed with this design , in fact this the most beautiful car design I have ever seen from fomoco.( Execpt for that ugly grille) If Ford wants to sell lots of cars all they have to do is build this car. This car should be the 2009 MKZ. Come on Ford and build it.

Congratulations on the new designs for concept vehicles. The MKR is a show piece in motion and would put Lincoln way ahead of the pack.
The new design is perfection from stem to stern and cutting the wind wave too is sensational. Get the right platform and power to match the design and the line for orders will form and it should be a production sell out. Bravo for a great American Flagship on the horizon!

I am a Lincoln man. Always have been. I have owned several Lincolns: a 1962 Continental-430 MEL V-8, 1971 Continental-460 385-series V-8, 1979 Town Coupe-400M V-8, 1988 Town Car-302 Windsor V-8, and my current 1996 Mark VIII-4.6L (281) DOHC Modular V-8. What do all these Lincolns have in common? They are all REAR-WHEEL-DRIVE and V-8 powered! Those are the two properties a true premium luxury car must possess in order to be taken seriously in the current market. The MKR has one of those properties: REAR-WHEEL-DRIVE. However, it lacks a V-8 engine. True, the 3.5L V-6 is plenty powerful with 415 horsepower, but it is two cylinders shy of a proper premium luxury car V-8 engine. If you are so worried about fuel economy, just put a small displacement 3.5L V-8 engine under the hood with the twin turbos and get the same power and economy as with the V-6 engine of the same displacement. Fewer cylinders do not always equal better economy. Displacement, fuel management, and intake/exhaust flow are the keys to power and economy. Put a small Twin-Turbo V-8 under the hood sending power through a multi-speed transmission to the REAR WHEELS and keep the sexy bodywork and you will have a definite winner on your hands. Unlike most people, I fully realize that if this car actually does reach production, the interior will look nothing like the concept. Concept cars are showcases for the designers to flex their talent. Some of the designs are simply not designed for production. Such is the case with the MKR. The production car will probably have a much more user friendly five-passenger layout with floor-mounted shifter and console. Granted the production interior will probably be very upscale and luxurious, it will not have the flow-through lines and hard-back front buckets of the concept. Build this car and they will come. No doubt about it. The MKR will put Lincoln back on the map again.

Build the MKR!!! It is an awesome car! Just make sure that it remains REAR-WHEEL-DRIVE!!! Don't water it down and put it on a FWD Volvo or Mazda platform. Lincoln needs a proper REAR-WHEEL-DRIVE car to compete against the far superior cars offered by Cadillac, Merceded, BMW, Infiniti, and Lexus. If the Mustang platform is too plebian for a premium luxury sedan, switch to the more modern Jaguar C-XF platform. That would certainly put Lincoln back into the premium luxury segment where it belongs. Lincoln has been going downmarket for far too long. No longer is Lincoln associated with upscale luxury. Lincoln has become a slightly upgraded Mazda/Volvo. Lincoln needs help. The MKR would definitely help boost sagging sales. Please build it!!!

Dear Sirs:

At sixteen my first car was a used 1972 Mark V. It took my 3 years to save for that car. It is still the car I had for the longer time. Since then I have dad 33 cars. At least a third has been the Mark line. However, Lincoln lst me to the Germans. Another third of my cars has been Audi. I tell you now Build this car as front or all wheel drive and you will have me back for at least the full run of this model!!!!!!!

I have been a Ford/Lincoln man since I was a child. You lost me when you lost contact with Henry and Etsel's mission. However, we your customers did not forget what FORD and LINCOLN are about to us. This MKR is a return to the elegant luxury and style Etsel began. I am only 47 years old. If you want my next 33 car purchase stop playing around. Get to know use (your customers) and build this car right!

Yours Truly,
Anthony Parisio

It is about time Lincoln started showing some life again. For so long the imports have been far more innovative and stylish, reducing the American Luxury automobile to no more than a second rate wanna-be. I hope with the introduction of this brilliant MKR concept Lincoln is reasserting itself and reclaiming its proper place atop the field of luxury automobiles. I am a young professional who has recently been looking at Audi and BMW as I am considering what kind of Luxary car to buy. Thank you for giving me a viable superior American option. I would even wait to buy a new car if you are planning on putting this concept and similar models into production anytime soon. In other words, it would be a monumental mistake not to put this wonderful concept into production now. Seriously, who ever designed this car needs to be promoted to Top Ford Designer if such a designation exists.

The MKR is just what the doctor ordered for Lincoln. It is REAR-WHEEL-DRIVE with a powerful engine (although it is two cylinders shy of a "real" Lincoln engine), restrained yet luxurious interior and fabulously sexy and cool bodywork. Lincoln should certainly build this car and at least attempt to compete with the RWD V-8 powered cars from Cadillac, Chrysler, BMW and Mercedes. The current Lincoln lineup can't even compete with Honda. Please bring Lincoln back to the PAG and make the brand a true "Premium Luxury" car instead of a pseudo entry-level near-luxury brand!! Don't let the MKR go the way of the wonderful Mark 9 and fantastic Continental concepts of a few years ago.

I just was at the Washington, DC, auto show today (1/27/07), and the MKR had non-stop crowds. You've got it...go with it! I am a hard-core, die-hard Lincoln guy. I own a 1972 Mark IV, a 1979 Continental Town Car, a 2005 Town Car (and a 99 Mountainer). I've had a Navigator and an LS, too. But I'm frustrated with the delay of getting the MKS out (we'll see what happens with the MKR). I'm ready to sign a contract for the MKS right now, but the show folks tell me that its another 12 to 14 months. The MKS and MKR were the first Lincolns I've been truly enamorned with since the Mark 8...get these cars out there!

You (Lincoln) need to be aware that we "mid-Boomers" with our excessive disposable income, are who is going to buy your cars. We grew up knowing Lincoln was it...give us something to buy!
